Daily Exhorting One Another...

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3:13

Well, you'll say I haven't kept that edict at least not as concerns online and indeed it has been a long time since I shared a thought on here, but the respite has been very needful.
The thing about this revival, especially for me personally it has been a humbling thing and something that has inspired a lot of introspection.
Yesterday I came across a very important verse of scripture that further gave me pause.
Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. John 9:41
The thought I got from this passage was don't be so quick to jump up and just say something or put something out there. People will expect you to be the first partaker of whatever you attest to so make sure you've soaked it in yourself before you tell it to somebody else.

All that being said and hopefully explained well I have had some thoughts that have been burning on my heart and I will share them as I get them, not daily, but as often as the Spirit leads.

A song stirred in my mind the other day and I noticed for some reason I kept changing a lyric in it as I sung it. Later we sung the same song in service and I had to force myself to sing it the way it was and not change that single word in it.
The song was "Don't stop praying till the answer comes..." A very inspiring song, I love the line, "pray when it seems like its dark as midnight, pray when you cannot see your way through..." How often have those words inspired us, but in the midst of the revival and with God blessing as He has, the song has been somewhat slightly altered in my mind and I was singing, "Don't stop praying when the answer comes..."
Just because God is blessing, just because you've got your portion, don't bail out now, don't stop pressing now, don't stop fasting and getting before God now. Follow up your advantage, keep on your guard, give the enemy no rest, don't stop praying just when the answer comes.
There are many aspects to this exhortation.
1. We are to pray without ceasing anyway... (Luke 18:1). It is only by prayer that we can maintain our spiritual walk and just because one battle is won doesn't mean the war is over. You have to be ever more watchful, for as someone said, after every victory there is another counterattack launched by the enemy.

2. Even though you got what you were praying for you still need God's help. You need Him to show you how to deal with whatever it is you got from Him. You need Him to help you stay humble in the midst of His blessing and increasing you. You need Him to know how to walk on this new spiritual plane that you've attained. You need Him just to make it through your day. You still need God, so still you have to keep on praying. Not as though you've already attained either were already perfect... (Philippians 3:12).

3. Just because you've got your blessing don't stop pressing for your brother's sake. I remember how when Israel was taking ground and fighting to take the Canaan land that they had been promised a few tribes desired the land on this side of the Jordan river and they were granted their request, but yet they were not permitted to just start building their own houses. They were instructed to help their brethren take their land too and when everyone possessed their land then they could come back and enjoy their land (ref. Joshua 1:10-16). Therefore don't stop praying when the answer comes, pray also for someone else.
4. Thank God. Don't stop praying just when the answer comes, remember to thank God for the blessings He has so richly bestowed upon you. Thank Him for His goodness and His love and grace unto you. Thank Him and praise Him and glorify His name.

Don't stop praying when the answer comes, pray more and more fervently. If God is able to do that which you have asked before what more can He do for you if you only have the faith to ask and seek Him.
